Why did Ming not keep all the Temporary Levels?
The short answer
Check the linked target and conversion allowance. The Sep 30 official card allows conversion of 2 Temporary Levels on the nearest hero, or 4 when awakened. Playing Ming raises the eligible amount by 2 or 4 through On Entry. A large temporary gain does not all carry over.
Check the artifact link
- During preparation, the passive links the artifact to the nearest allied hero. Check the visible link when developing your carry; a tie-breaking rule is not established here.
- Temporary Levels clear after combat. Record permanent and temporary values separately, then compare the permanent value after combat.
On Entry raises the allowance
- The base card lists 2 eligible levels and On Entry +2; the awakened card lists 4 and +4. An official wording correction specifies eligible levels, so do not read it as an immediate grant of permanent levels on every play.
If conversion appears missing
- Check the linked target, whether that target actually gained Temporary Levels, the allowance, and its permanent value after combat. Keep a replay or before-and-after screenshots to diagnose a specific match.
- A community playbook describes a per-round, post-battle conversion step. The official card does not specify exact check timing. The original question’s board and full match are unverified, so its precise cause and a guaranteed per-round gain are not established.
