Two beginner climb routes: Yao–Li Xin and Jiang Dao–Lian Po
The creator rotates between two routes: Yao–Li Xin turns sacrificed units into temporary levels for Li Xin; Jiang Dao–Lian Po uses effect cards and shield breaks for area damage. Reach level 4 to find four-cost Li Xin, or search at level 4 for the second route’s low-cost core before leveling to 5. The creator aims for consistent top-three finishes, not guaranteed wins.
Route A: use Su Lie early and search for Li Xin at level 4
Start with Su Lie and awaken him early. After reaching level 3, avoid manual rerolls; buy target pieces only when they appear naturally, then save toward level 4. Search for Li Xin and supporting units at level 4. Bank level-up effects while you search.
Li Xin engine: let sacrifice units fall on the frontline
Zhong Kui gives adjacent heroes Sacrifice; their deaths grant Li Xin temporary levels. Zhong Kui can also reduce levels on high-level enemies. Once Li Xin appears, direct level-up effects and coins to him and awaken him early. Ming Shiyin makes some temporary levels permanent, while Taiyi adds a revive.
Route B: build around Lian Po with Jiang Dao
The creator usually prefers this Zhulu route: Lian Po only needs two stars and appears earlier, with Jiang Dao as the preferred strategist. You can level on round two and search for Lian Po, but the creator recommends Sun Bin first to reduce early health loss. After Lian Po reaches two stars, collect the other two-star core units, reach levels 3 and 4, and search at level 4. Move to level 5 when you need the seventh slot.
Lian Po shield burst: Bian Que provides the damage
Give Jiang Dao’s carry buff to Lian Po; Mozi raises his maximum HP. Mi Yue levels the most-equipped Zhulu hero when effect cards are used, so keep Lian Po as the most-equipped. Xi Shi supplies a tactic each round, and Taiyi provides a revive. Bian Que is the damage key: when Lian Po’s shield breaks, it damages nearby enemies. Sell Sun Bin later if you need the slot.
